Message from the SVE Tennis Club President
Happy September to our members:
We wanted to keep you informed on the current status of our EVSTL league play.
After the information was gathered from 13 clubs the consensus from Club President’s was to suspend our Fall League.
Our hope is the possibility for Spring play beginning in January 2021.
Many different circumstances entered into this decision, parks not open yet to visitors, members returning later than usual, and the border still being closed to our Canadian members.
The Executive Committee still encourages Tournament Play at the end of the season.
Our Sve Tennis Board will be meeting this month to discuss & brainstorm ideas for our Fall season.
There are many activities already on the Calendar & we will be planning several in house tournaments, challenge days, fun tennis activities & more!!
This is where you as our members come in.
We would love to have your ideas and suggestions on what might interest you.
We also understand that some of you might not be comfortable in a larger social setting.
We will be respectful to all members.
The following are suggestions that have been given to the Board:
Mixed doubles events*
75+ challenge day*
Social FUN tennis days*
Men’s challenge day*
Ladies fun day*
Entertainment @ the Sweet Spot on selected Friday night’s*
The list will go on with your excellent ideas that you give us.
We want this year to be filled with fun and social activities amidst all the changes in our lives.
Please feel free to email or contact any Board member with comments, or positive input.
We thank you for helping us as we all work together for our club..
